Privacy Policy

ShowingScore ("the app") is published by Balsam Digital Group, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how the ShowingScore app handles your information on Apple iOS and Google Android, and how our marketing website at showingscore.com uses analytics.
The short version: ShowingScore does not collect any of your data. Everything you create in the app — property details, notes, scores, photos, videos, voice memos, and location pins — is stored only on your device. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive your information, we cannot see your data, and we do not share, sell, or monetize it, because we never receive it in the first place. The app requires no account and no sign-in. This applies to the app itself; our marketing website, showingscore.com, uses standard Google web analytics, described in "This website" below.
Information the app stores on your device
To do its job, ShowingScore saves the following locally on your device only, inside the app's private storage:
- Property information you enter — addresses, pasted listing links, and optional details such as price, beds, baths, and square footage.
- Your showing notes and scores — the ratings, notes, and first impressions you record for each home.
- Media you capture — photos, short videos, and voice memos you take during a showing.
- A location pin — when you tap to "drop a pin" at a property, the app records that single location coordinate to mark the home.
This information stays on your device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or made available to us in any form.
How the app uses device permissions
ShowingScore asks for the following permissions, each used only for the feature described and never to send data off your device:
- Camera — to take arrival photos and per-area photos and video for a showing.
- Microphone — to record voice memos and the audio in videos.
- Location (while using the app) — to capture a property's location pin when you drop it. Location is used only while the app is open and in use; the app does not track your location in the background.
- Photo library — if you choose to, to attach an existing photo from your library to a scoring area.
You can grant or deny any of these permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission simply disables the related feature; the rest of the app continues to work.
Listing links
If you paste a listing link (for example from Zillow, Redfin, or Realtor.com), the app stores it as plain text so you can open it yourself. The app does not automatically fetch, open, or track those links.
Data sharing, analytics, and advertising
Within the ShowingScore app:
- We do not share or sell your information — we do not have it.
- The ShowingScore app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
- No data is sent from the app to any third party.
This website (showingscore.com)
Our marketing website is separate from the app, and unlike the app it uses standard web analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, so we can understand how visitors find and use the site.
When you visit showingscore.com, Google may set cookies and process standard, non-account information such as the pages you view, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and details about your browser and device. We use this only in aggregate to measure traffic and improve the site. It is not linked to any data in the app, which has no analytics and no accounts. Google processes this information as described in its own privacy policy.
You can opt out of analytics cookies using your browser's cookie controls or a tracking-prevention extension, and Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally either way.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it:
- You can permanently delete an individual home — along with its showing, notes, scores, and captured media — from within the app.
- Uninstalling ShowingScore removes all of its data and media from your device.
We retain nothing, because we never receive anything.
Security
Your information is protected by your device's operating-system security and app sandboxing, which keep ShowingScore's data private to the app. Because ShowingScore has no servers and transmits no data, there is no server-side database that could be breached.
Children's privacy
ShowingScore is a tool for home buyers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — and, as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy at the same location. If a future version of the app changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated to describe it before that version is released.
